Busan Opera House

Even if you’re not interested in architecture, you will like these amazing buildings. Architecture isn’t boring!

OODA Architecture Team designed this fascinating piece of amazing architecture, Busan Opera House, for international competition in 2011. I can describe this proposal for Busan’s new opera house in many words, but ordinary is not one of them. Trying to blur difference between nature and building, architects came up with this incredible shell-like design which should become new landmark for South Korea.

I just had to share this ‘building’ with you. But, before you get too excited about the futuristic design then stand by since it isn’t actually real. It was actually part of a marketing campaign for a company that makes fingerprint software and panels, but it would be pretty cool if it was!

The luxury Katara Hotel is the future hospitality landmark in Lusail City, Doha, Qatar. The project was designed by Kling Consult with an architectural design inspired by the seal of Qatar. Hotel development with 2 towers including ballrooms, swimming pools, a plaza with recreational and spa facilities, and 3 parking levels. The project is expected opening in 2017.

The new Phoenix International Media Center, a ballooning torus formed by a twisting lattice of steel, rivals any structure designed by a Westerner in China over the last decade.

As bombastic as any building conceived in the past decade, Pazhou Hotel in Guangzhou, designed by the international firm Aedas, stacks guest-room floors in two staggered piles atop a nearly 200-foot-high atrium that links exhibition and retail spaces.

The croocked house. Though it looks like some sort of painting by a drunk painter, this is a real house located in Rezydent Shopping Center in Sopot, Poland. It is claimed to be the most photographed building in Poland. It is spread to an area of 4,000 square meters.

This may look like a picnic basket kept in the park. But this actually is a 7-story building (the  basket building) which is Longaberger’s Home Office located in Newark, Ohio. This monument is in-fact world’s largest basket. Its 192 ft. long by 126 ft. wide at the bottom, spreads to 208-ft. long by 142-ft. wide at the roofline.

This installation is permanent, on a much larger scale, and is designed to conceal the library’s car park. Here the public were asked to nominate books that they felt represented Kansas City. The library was founded in 1873 A.D, and is the oldest and the third largest public library in Kansas City area.

Abu Dhabi Mirage Hotel is located in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The main design idea of the hotel was to create an illusion of a dolphin couple swimming in a mirage, therefore the form of dolphins was applied as the mass motif. This luxury hotel architecture is mainly divided into three buildings, the residential hotel, the marina hotel, and the Berthage and marina club. As a reason for safety, the floating suites will be installed with an automatic system that will keep the suites within safe distance from the beach. The design of this amazing architectural project was made by Korean architect Changki Yun of the KA3 Design Group.

WonderWorks Pigeon Forge is an entertainment center focused on science exhibits with a  slogan of Let Your Imagination Run Wild. Wonderworks can be found in five locations in the United States.

This dancing building is designed by Architect Vlado Milunić in co-operation with Canadian architect Frank Gehry on a vacant riverfront plot. It is situated in Prague, Czech Republic.

This building was designed in 1992 and completed in 1996. It is a modern, glass building surrounded by historic architecture.
